Snow on the ground

Today sees us start the day off with a light covering of snow on the ground.  There is an 65% risk of us receiving a few more flurries during the commuting hours to work this morning but we will not see any real accumulation.  The largest weather risk we face on our travels to work or school today are from ice patches.  Please take care.

It will be a cool day with some brighter spells especially this morning.  Our top temperature will be around 3c but in the NW wind this will feel more like 2c less than the thermometer is reading.

This afternoon will see a little more medium height cloud develop and these clouds will bring a 55% risk of some sleet and rain for a couple of hours late afternoon.  the sky will then again clear to leave us with a cool night.  The minimum temperature overnight will be around -1 to -2c.

The wind will be taking a  line from the WNW- NW down the UK and this will bring us some cool breezes.  The average wind speed will be around 6mph.

Summary:  A cool but often clear morning.  Turning cloudier for a while during the mid to late afternoon.  Cool overnight..
