The jet stream is now firmly seated below our area and this means that we will see a lower risk off rain and a some brighter spells. If you want to leave out some washing today is the day to do so.
Today, will start off cool with the air temperature at 06:30 hours at less that 1c (o.8c). This means that there is a grass frost around and, therefore, care will need to be taken on untreated roads and paths.
As the day passes we will see some brighter spells develop and the top temperature will increase to around 7c. With the isobars spaced further apart than in recent times there will only be a light breeze and as a consequence the wind chill will only reduce the “feel” of the air temperature by about 1c. Overnight will see the minimum air temperature at around 2c.
There is a 26% risk of rain very late tonight/ in the early hours of tomorrow but overall it will be a dry day.
The wind will deriving from the SW/WSW for the majority of the day and the average wind speed will be around 4 mph.
