A cloudy start. Does this mean rain?

It is a cloudy start to the day but, fear not, as there are no rain clouds showing up on the radar images.  The risk of any rain this morning is only 7% and even then it would only be some isolated drizzle.  As the day heads past 10:00 hours the risk of rain reduces to less than 5%.  You are safe, therefore, to leave your washing out today.

As we reach late morning we will see the cloud bed break up a little and this will allow for some brighter spells to break through.  These brighter spells will allow our top temperature to reach around 9-10c but mid afternoon.  The NE-ENE breeze will, however, reduce the “feel” of the top temperature by about 2c. Overnight it will be a cool night with a low of around 2-3c.

The wind will be deriving from the cool NE-ENE arc today.  The average wind speed will be around 6-8mph.

Summary: A cloudy start but remaining dry.  Some bright spells later.
