The end of the first month of Spring

It is the last day of the month and with the early Spring comes the joy that the sun does not set today until around 19:40 hours this evening.  Driving to and from work in the dark are now a thing of the past for the next six months or so.

Today will be a dry and pleasant day with very little breeze.  The air pressure will continue to rise for  while but will settle by the end of the day at around 1016mb.  The risk of any rain today is only around 15%.

We will see some bright spells today through a clear or partly cloud sky.  Our top temperature will rise to around 11c but overnight the minimum temperature will reduce to around 3c due to the lack of cloud cover.  This, however, will be good news for our astronomer readers who should be able to make some observations at some point during the evening.

The wind be light with an average speed of around 3-4mph. The wind will be deriving from the WNW to start the day before moving towards the N later in the day.
