A very bright start

It is a bright start to the day with the sun breaking through thin low-level cloud. Although the air temperature at 06:30 hours was only around 3.6c the day will soon warm up and we will see a top temperature reached of around 14c.

As the day passes we will see the cloud cover increase slightly and by mid afternoon to early evening there will be some rain clouds formed close to our area.  These rain clouds will bring a risk of rain of about 45% to our region.

Overnight it will remain cloudy and, therefore, mild with an overnight low of  around 5-7c.  There is a higher risk of more rain tomorrow and Friday but we will examine that in tomorrow’s post.

The wind will be deriving from the SW-SSW this morning before moving clockwise towards the WNW during the afternoon.  The average wind speed today will be around 4-5mph.

Summary:  A bright start to the day.  Becoming cloudier as the day passes but remaining mild.  A risk of rain showers in the afternoon / early evening.
