Today is the Queen’s 90th birthday and so it is incumbent upon me to, hopefully, report that today will see some good weather to help her celebrate the day!!
Here goes.
The surface air pressure continues to reduce slowly and by the end of the day we will see a barometer reading of around 1024mb. This reduction, however, does not increase the risk of rain in our area today beyond 6%.
We will see more thin medium to high level cloud around in area today (compared to yesterday) but the cloud will not prevent our top temperature climbing to around 14c. Overnight the minimum temperature will be a degree of so warmer than last night at around 5c (last night’s low 3.3c at 05:38 hours).
The wind will be deriving from a NE-ENE arc and will be generally light. The average wind speed will be around 6-7mph.
Summary: A generally bright day with some cloud. Very little risk of rain. Cool in the shade due to the NE breeze.
