Rain in Spain

Today sees the return of the sunshine for a few hours at least! The air pressure will remain stable around the 1004mb.  Whilst this measurement is not what we would consider to be high it stable enough to keep the risk of rain in our area to around 10-15%.

The top temperature will reach close to 20c today (probably around the 19c) but we will see some medium height cloud too.  This cloud will fragment from time to time to allow the brighter spells to break through.  Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 8-9c.

The wind will be bringing with it cool air from the N-NE and the average wind speed will be around 6mph.

Looking ahead the GFS models all show that we are heading towards a slightly cooler but generally dry spell over the next few days.  This is due to the jet stream, that is currently running across Spain and Portugal (bringing wet weather to those areas for the next couple of days), moving northwards towards and, eventually, beyond the UK.

Summary:  A brighter day with some pleasant sunny spells.
