Light and shade

High air pressure maintains a solid position above the UK today and this means that we are set for another fine day with some bright spells.  The cloud cover will vary as the day passes but we should still see at least 6 hours of brighter spells.

With the high air pressure there is also a very low risk of rain in our area today.  The risk of rain is no greater than 7%.

Despite the bright spells it will not be an excessively warm day. The top temperature will be around 13-14c (yesterday’s top temperature was 16.1c at around 16:05 hours and the overnight low was 4.5c at 05:38 hours this morning).  We can expect to see tonight’s overnight minimum temperature to be around 6-7c.

The wind will, once again be bringing in cool air predominantly from the WNW-NW.  The wind will, however, be light with an average speed of around 4-5mph.

So, once again, today is a good day for getting out in the garden, out on your bike, or to simply go for a walk in the park. Whatever you choose to do it will also be a good day for taking some photographs as the shadows and shading could add some interesting light and shade effects.
