Quite a suprise

Today sees the start of the Bank Holiday weekend and it will be a surprise to many that the weather is set fair! The risk of any rain today is only 7% so as long as you don’t travel too far West then you are unlikely to see your activities interrupted by rain today.

It will be a partly cloudy day with a top temperature of around 17-18c.  The wind will be deriving (albeit gently) from the N so if you are in the shade it may be a little cool.  The sun will, however, break through the cloud cover around lunchtime to bring us some brighter spells.  Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 8-9c.  Last night’s minimum temperature was 9c at 02:37 hours.

The NE wind will be light throughout the day with an average speed of only 5mph.  Ideal cycling or walking conditions!

Summary:  A dry day with some brighter spells.  A little warmer than of late at around 17-18c.

Observations made 08:18 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.
Temperature : 10.6c; Air pressure : 1017.2mb; Relative humidity  86%; Wind : 1mph NE;  Rain this month : 50mm ; Rain this year : 332.8mm
