@WS7weather report for Hammerwich, Lichfield, Burntwood, Brownhills, Bloxwich, Walsall, Aldridge and Pelsall 27/5/16

If you are finishing work early today to extend your Bank Holiday weekend then the weather will do nothing to damage your optimism.

Today will see a fairly constant high surface air pressure of around the 1018mb mark. This stable air pressure will also mean that the winds will be light.

We will see medium to high cloud cover for much of the day but this cover should not prevent some brighter spells breaking through. Our top temperature today will be around 17c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 7-8c.

There is only a very low (5%) risk of rain during the daylight hours. This risk will increase to only 10% overnight.

If you are going to the T20 cricket tonight you can expect a full evening’s play but you will need to take a warm coat if you have seats in the exposed upper stands as, with the wind chill, it will feel like 5-6c.

The wind today will be deriving from a NW-NE arc and the average wind speed will be around 5mph.

Summary. A dry and mild day with some bright spells and variable high to medium cloud cover.

Temperature: 8c; Air pressure : 1018.1mb; Relative Humidity : 85%; Wind : 3mph NE; Rain this month : 49.8mm; Rain this year : 332.6mm
