Today is Lichfield Greenhill Bower day and organisers, competitors and visitors are all hoping for good weather.
Despite this morning’s dense cloud cover I am pleased to report that it is going to be a dry day with only a 5% risk of rain and some bright spells. The air pressure is currently high and the charts show that it will remain so.
Our top temperature today will be around 18-19c and overnight the minimum temperature will be touching double figures at the 10c mark. During the afternoon the cloud cover will break a bit, bringing some brighter spells but this will also increase the UV factor to around 6.
This is a high UV factor and, therefore, some sun protection should be worn between the hours of 12:00 noon and 16:00 hours. The pollen forecast (mainly grass pollen) is moderate for today.
The wind will be deriving from a NNW-NE arc today and the average wind speed will be around 6mph.
Overall today is going to be perfect Bank Holiday Monday weather for getting outdoors and enjoying some pleasant weather.
Summary: A mild and dry day with some bright spells later.
