Today starts off cloudy, humid but mild. As I look at the rain radar images at 06:30 hours I can also see that there is a large mass of rain cloud moving towards our area from South Wales.
This “mass” of rain cloud is 90% likely to bring some rain showers to our area during our journey to work and through parts of the morning. To support the thought that rain is on its way is the fact that the surface air pressure at 06:31 hours was reducing slowly. We can expect to receive a similar amount of rain this morning as we did yesterday afternoon / evening (around 3mm).
This afternoon we will see the rain cloud clear our area and we will be left with a dry and occasionally bright afternoon. Our top temperature will reach around 18c whilst overnight the minimum temperature will be around 14-15c.
The wind will spend this morning deriving from the SSW-SW before moving clockwise around lunchtime to end the day deriving from the W-WNW. The average wind speed today will be around 6mph.
Summary: A high risk of rain this morning. Becoming brighter during the afternoon.
