Referendum day weather

It is a very humid start to this EU Referendum day but the good news is that if you are planning to walk to your local polling station then you should be able to do so without the need of your umbrella.  The general risk of rain today is only 20% although we may see some light drizzle (60% risk) around 07:00 hours.

The day will be mostly cloudy with some brighter spells during the later parts of the afternoon.  The top temperature will be around 21c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 12c.  Last night’s minimum temperature was a very mild 15.2c.

The wind today will be deriving from a WSW-WNW arc and the average wind speed will be low at around 2-3mph.  This is due to the high surface pressure system that is positioned in our area.

The downside, if there is one, of today  is that the pollen count is very high.  This is not great news for those of you that are hay fever sufferers.

Summary: A very mild and humid day.  Plenty of cloud but becoming warm with a top temperature above 20c.
