Burntwood Pushcart Derby Weather

Today sees the Burntwood pushcart derby taking place with the first race starting at noon.  So will the pushcarts need wet weather or slick tyres?  The answer is possibly both!

The first thing to say is that it will be a very mild day for spectators with the top temperature reaching around 21c.  It will also be quite humid as we will spend the day under a general cloud bed.  As we reach noon the risk of rain/drizzle increases and will reach the peak risk period (around 60%) by mid afternoon.

Overnight will also be mild with a minimum temperature of around 15c.  Last night’s minimum temperature was 17.4c at 05:18 hours.

The wind today will be deriving from the SW-WSW and the average wind speed will be around 6mph.

Tomorrow will see more sunshine breaking through (particularly in the afternoon).  Monday and Tuesday will be warm days with Tuesday peaking at the upper end of the 20s (27-28c).
