We have another bright and sunny day to look forward to today and the air temperature will be sitting in the mid 20s.
For the second day in succession the jet stream is riding high above the UK and this is helping to block the northern cool air with a ridge of air pressure. As a consequence we will generally only see some fragmented high level cloud and plenty of clear spells.
The risk of any rain today is less than 4%.
Our top temperature today will be around 24c and overnight the low will be around 11c.
The wind will be deriving from the ESE but will only be very light at an average speed of only 4mph.
Today will also, however, see the air pressure continue to slowly reduce in value and by Thursday we will see low surface pressure dominate across our area. This will bring rain later in the week and if you are heading to the V Festival on Saturday and Sunday you will need to take with you some wet weather gear. The rain, at the moment, looks as if will be heaviest on Saturday.
