A good way to end the month

The air pressure starts the day as it ended yesterday with a high reading of around 1024mb. As the day passes this figure will reduce slowly to around 1020mb but this will not be a sufficient reduction in air pressure to make any significant change to the weather outlook.

Today will be a generally warm and pleasant day with plenty of bright and sunny spells.  Our top temperature will reach around 22-23c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 13c.

The radar images show that there is only a 4% risk of any rain in our area today. Currently there appears to be a band of rain cloud that will work its way across the UK early tomorrow (reaching our area around 09:00 hours) but this system may well dissipate before then.

The wind today will deriving from the SSW-SW and the average wind speed will be around 5mph.

This month has seen around 20% more rainfall than average but that has been due to some heavy downpours rather than days of steady rain.
