First day of Autumn weather 2016

Today sees the arrival of the first day of Autumn 2016 and despite it being a bit wet underfoot (due to some early morning rain) the risk of rain diminishes after 07:00 hours to around 10%.

It will be a partially cloudy day with some bright spells breaking through too.  The cloud will be thick to start the day (cloud lying at low, medium and high level cloud) but will thin to a single layer during the morning.

Our top temperature will be around the 15-16c mark (this will be around a degree warmer than yesterday.  Overnight the minimum temperature will be around the 10c mark.  This is cooler than last night’s minimum of 13.1c.

The wind will be deriving from a S-SW arc and the average wind speed will be around 5mph.

The outlook for the weekend is mostly dry with some rain late Saturday into Sunday.

Summary : A partially cloudy day.  Remaining dry with only a 10% risk of rain after 07:00 hours.
