As we briefly discussed in yesterday’s post 2.4 millimeters of rain has fallen in our area during the early hours of today.
The good news is that the radar images are showing that the band of rain will have completely passed beyond our area by the time the general commute to work starts (around 08:00 hours). The risk of rain for the remainder of the day will then be around 15%.
It will also be a bit of a breezy this morning with an average wind speed of around 8-9mph and gusts of up to 25mph. The wind will be deriving from a W-SW arc. The wind speed will reduce by the end of the night as distance between the points of similar air pressure begin to widen.
As the day passes we will also see some brighter spells as the cloud bed fragments and this will help lift our top temperature up to around 17c. The overnight low will be around 10c.
Summary : A damp start but brightening up as the day passes. A little breezy at times.
