When I looked out of the window this morning, to begin my observations, the moon was clearly visible. This was a most pleasant start to the day.
This morning up until around 10:00 hours we will see the cloud bed thicken from time to time and, in turn, the radar images are showing that some rain cloud will pass through our area. The risk of any rain this morning is around 40%.
As the morning passes the cloud bed will fragment and we will be left with some bright spells. This will help our top temperature reach around 14-15c. Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 7c. Last night’s minimum was 10.9c at 02:29 hours.
The wind will be deriving from the warm SW for the majority of the day today and the average wind speed will be around 5-6mph.
Looking ahead the jet stream is forming an Omega loop which means we will have some high surface air pressure, clear skies but cooler winds from the N over the next few days.
