The snow never came

Weather report 26 May 2010 at 06:26Overall it was not a bad weekend weather wise and we do have to remember that we are only a week away from November.

So far October has been mild despite the horror stories (late September) that were printed is some of the press stating that the month was going to receive periods of heavy snow. Who are these people they find to claim such nonsense?  I think they though that because we were going to have a period with northerly winds it would snow.  Well it doesn’t snow 95% of the time a north wind blows so why make such wild claims?

Today will be another generally cloudy day although there is a 40% risk of some light rain / drizzle around 9-10:10 this morning.  This will be squeezing int our area from the Worcestershire area.

It will be a cool day with a top thermometer temperature of around 11c although it will probably feel more like 9c in the wind.  Overnight the minimum temperature will be similar to last night at around 7c.

The wind will be deriving from a NE to ENE arc for the majority of the day and the average wind speed will be around 4-5mph.

Summary : generally dry, cool and partially cloudy.
