Armistice day weather (WS7weather report 11-11-2016)

ws7-weather-reportAfter yesterday’s showery day today will be a much more settled although cool day.

This morning will start off cool but with some brighter spells.  The air temperature will only be around 2c at 07:00 hours.  As the morning / early afternoon passes we will see the thermometer climb to a maximum of around 7c.  The risk of rain during daylight hours is around 12%.

By lunchtime high level cloud will begin to form and this cloud bed will then lower and thicken as the evening passes.  This cloud bed will, however, bring us a milder night than of late with a low of around 5c.

During the night and early tomorrow a band of rain will sweep the UK from W to E.  Our area will not escape this system and we can expect some prolonged periods of rain.

The wind will start the day from the WNW but as the day passes we will see an anticlockwise movement with the derivation of the wind settling in the SSE.  The average wind speed today will be around 5mph.

Summary : A cool and occasionally bright start with cloud thickening as the day passes.
