As we discussed in yesterday’s blog a band of rain has delivered rain to our are overnight and early this morning (around 5mm). Frustratingly, whilst the main body of the rain cloud had passed beyond our area by 07:30 hours the trailing edge of the cloud system will continue to bring a 75% risk of rain to our area until around lunchtime.
This afternoon will see the cloud cover lift and thin a little (although there will still be a general covering) and we will be set for a dry afternoon and evening. The top temperature today will rise to around 10c and overnight we will see low of around 7-8c.
The wind will start the day deriving from the S/SW but as the afternoon arrives the wind will have moved clockwise towards the NW. The average wind speed today will be around 4mph.
For those taking part in a Remembrance Day parade tomorrow I can bring some good news as it will be a dry day.
Summary : A damp start to the day but mild. Becoming dry during the late morning / afternoon.
