(WS7weather report 22-11-2016)

burntwood-road-21-november-2016For the second day we awake to find steady rain falling in our area.  Already just over 4mm had been “delivered” in our area today by 06:30 hours.  So far this month just over 75.2mm of rain has fallen in the area which is already 25% more than average for this time of year.  In Hammerwich this rainfall has flooded Hall Lane and parts of Burntwood Road.

The good news is that the air pressure was rising rapidly at the time of my observations and the radar images are showing some breaks in the rain cloud after around 10:00 hours.  During our commute to work we can expect to be travelling in some rainfall but by mid morning we will see dry spells developing.  The risk of rain during this morning’s commute is around 90% but after that time the risk of rain reduces to around 30%.  it will, however, remain a cloudy day.

Our top temperature today will be around 7c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 5c.

The wind today will be averaging a speed of around 5-6mph and the derivation will be from a cool NW-NE arc. This wind direction will have a wind chill of around 2c.

Summary : Early rain will pass through the area leaving a generally dry (some isolated showers) but cloudy day.
