I am pleased to be able to report that the majority of the low pressure system that has been bringing rain to our area over the last few days has finally moved away and a high pressure system is now entering our area from the SW.
By the weekend the barometer will be reading around 1026-1028mb. This high pressure system is likely to bring some bright spells during the day but cool overnight temperatures early next week.
Despite some light overnight rain the remainder of today will be generally dry with only a 15% risk of any further precipitation. Today will, however, be generally cloudy with cloud systems forming at low and high heights during the day.
The air temperature will peak at around 7-8c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 5c. Wind chill will, however, remove around 2c from the “feel” of the air temperature.
The wind will be bringing with it cool air from the NE. The average wind speed today will be around 6mph.
Summary : A generally mild and dry but cloudy day with only a low (15%) risk of rain.
