Rain moves away. (WS7weather report 24-11-2016)

ws7-weather-reportHigh air pressure has now finally settled back in our area and will remain with us for at least the rest of the calendar month.  On Monday the surface air pressure was low at 993.6mb but now it is at nearly 1026mb.

During this new period of high pressure we are extremely unlikely to see any sessions of rainfall like we encountered earlier this week.  The risk of any rain today is only 10%.

Today will see a cloudy start with some high level cloud but as the day passes the cloud bed will dissipate to bring us some brighter spells during the day.  These brighter spells will help lift our top temperature up to 7-8c.  Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 3c.

It will be a slightly breezy day with cool air arriving from the NE.  The average wind speed will be around 5-6mph.

Looking ahead.  This weekend looks as if it will be dry but cloudy which is good enough news for those who need to get out and about.

Summary : A cloudy start but becoming brighter later.
