Today will see the best weather day we have had for a while with broken cloud allowing for some bright spells to shine through. It will, however, not be hot but it will be mild.
Our top temperature today will be around 8c. Overnight we will see the thermometer record a minimum temperature of around 3c. The cloud cover will be around 40% for much of the day and this will allow for the sun to break through and help dry out some of the sodden soil. The risk of any rain today is around 6-8%.
Today’s wind will, once again, be bringing with it cool air from the NE. The average wind speed will be around 5mph. This wind speed will be enough to reduce the “feel” of the air temperature by around 2c.
The weekend will see medium height cloud cover for much of the time but this will clear on Monday and Tuesday. This lack of cloud cover will mean overnight temperatures, early next week, will dip to freezing point or just below.
Summary : A partly cloudy day which will allow some bright spells to break through..
