It is a very overcast start to the day with the cloud cover just around 3,000 feet. The good news is though that there is some improvement on the way!
The air pressure will remain high at around 1026mb throughout the next 24 hours and as today passes we will see the cloud bed fragment a little. This fragmentation will allow for the sun to break through a little. The cloud will bring a low 15-20% risk of some rain / drizzle this morning.
Our top temperature today will be around 5-6c but as the day passes into the evening we will see this reduce to a low of around 2c.
As the air pressure is remaining high and settled the winds will be light. The average wind speed will be around 3mph. This breeze will be deriving from the cool ENE-E direction. It is this wind direction that some newspapers get excited about and start predicting snow. I can say, however, that there is no risk of snow accumulating at the moment in our area.
Tomorrow will be another dry day with a little more sunshine than today.
