A winter scene (WS7weather report 4-12-2016)

ws7-weather-reportAfter yesterday’s mild start to the day today brings us a cold and frosty greeting. It is a truly a wintry scene.

Overnight temperatures reduced to just around freezing point (at 04:08 the air temperature was 1c) and even at 08:30 hours we are only at around 1.5c.   The good news is that the cloud cover is very thin and we will see around 5 hours of sunny spells. These bright spells will help lift the top temperature up to around 6c.

This afternoon will see the high level cloud cover increase a little and before thinning again later.  Our overnight low will again be around 0c.

Today’s breeze will be bringing cool air from the E-ENE and the average speed will be around 5mph.

Tomorrow may see us start off misty in places with some ground frost.  Care will need to be taken when travelling to work or school.

Summary : Some bright spells but a little cool.
