It is a very mild start to the day with the air temperature around 10c as we make our way to work. This is quite a contrast to the last few days!
The difference comes about because the wind is now deriving from the warm S-SW but, with the warm air temperature, comes an increased level of cloud cover. The cloud cover will be medium to high level for most of the daylight hours thickening after dark to include low-level cloud too. These levels of cloud cover will increase the risk of rain to 15% during daylight hours, to around 20-25% late tonight and to around 75% by tomorrow morning.
Our top temperature today will be approximately 12c and overnight the minimum will be a very mild 9c. This mild weather spell will continue for the remainder of the week.
The wind will be deriving from the S-SW for the majority of the day. The average wind speed will be around 8mph.
Summary : A mild and cloud day with the risk of some light rain particularly later in the day.
