Christmas shopping weather news (WS7weather report 10-12-2016)

ws7-weather-reportIt is a very overcast start to what is likely to be a busy Christmas shopping day in our region.  The good news is that if your are heading towards Lichfield then the food and drink festival stalls will be lining the streets.

The radar images are showing that there are small clusters of rain cloud in our area this morning and into the early afternoon but the larger mass is marginally to the south of us.  it is, however, most likely that we will receive some rain during the day. The risk of some rain is around 75%.

During daylight hours the cloud cover will be generally dense with just the odd fragmentation to allow for some brighter spells.  It will be, however, mild with a top temperature around the 11c mark. Overnight will see the cloud bed fragment and considerably clear allowing the night time temperature to reduce to a minimum of around 4-5c.

The wind will predominantly be deriving from the SW-WSW.  The average wind speed will be around 5mph.

Summary : A cloudy start but the cloud density will reduce later in the day.  A high risk of some rain during daylight hours.
