Elements of fog (WS7weather report 19-12-2016)

ws7-weather-reportIt is another day of generally high surface air pressure, cool air temperatures to start the day and very little in the way of a breeze. All of these elements increase the risk of some fog and mist patches, therefore, care should be taken when travelling around this morning as you may come across a localised patch.

High surface pressure will remain with us throughout the day although it will  reduce slightly as the day passes into night.  This redution in air pressure will help bring a risk of rain as a rain carrying cloud system edges its way, from the south, into our area later today / overnight.  The risk of some rain sometime between 22:00 and 06:00 is 70%.

Today will be another cloudy and the top temperature will be restricted to a still mild 7c.  Overnight the minimum temperature will be around 5c.

The wind will be very light and mostly deriving from a W-WNW arc.  The average wind speed will be a whispering 2-3mph.

Summary :  Another cloudy day with plenty of cloud.  risk of rain later tonoght / overnight.
