It is another misty start to the day but this mist will disappear as the day warms up. At 09:15 hours it was already warmer than most of the previous day with the air temperature around 4c.
Today will be a generally cloudy day with medium height cloud dominating proceedings. our top temperature will, however, rise up to around 7c. Overnight we will see very little temperature variation with the “low” at around 5c.
Despite the cloud the air pressure remains high (at around 1032-1035mb) and, therefore the risk of any rain is low at around 7%. There will, however, be some dampness around due to the early mist.
The wind will be deriving from the mild SW-WSW and the average wind speed will be around 6mph.
New Year’s Eve will follow suit from today with plenty of cloud around and mild temperatures. There is, however, currently a high risk of rain in the early hours of New Year’s Day. Party revellers be warned.
