Wrap up warm (WS7weather report 26-1-2017)

ws7-weather-reportToday is, quite simply, going to be a cold day so you will need to wrap up warm.

The air temperature will not rise above 2c and with the wind chill this will feel more like 0c.  There will be more of a breeze today too as a low pressure system (that is moving across the UK from the west) will “squeeze together the points of similar air pressure (thus increasing the wind speed.  Think of it like squeezing a hose pipe).   Over the next few days the air pressure will reduce sufficiently enough to bring us some rain at the weekend.

Overnight the minimum air temperature will reach around -2c.

It will be a generally cloudy day although the risk of rain is only around 8%.

The wind will be deriving from the ESE-SE and the average wind speed will be around 6mph.

Summary for today : A cold day with more of a chilling breeze.
