At the time of my observations (approx. o6:35 hours) light drizzly rain was falling and the radar images show that more rain clouds will pass through our area as the day passes.
The chance of more rain at anytime today is, therefore, very high at around 85-90%. The risk of rain, however, is at its highest during the evening.
It will be a mild day with temperatures rising to around 9-10c and the overnight low around 7c.
Coupled with the showers will be some increased wind speeds as the points of air pressure get closer together. It will not be wild and windy but it will be mild and breezy.
The wind will be deriving from the ESE for much of the day and the average wind speed will be around 7-8mph. Gusts speeds could be up to 20mph.
Summary for today : A drizzly start to the day. Showers likely at anytime and more persistent rain during the evening. Remaining very mild all day.
