Driving hazard. (WS7weather report 14-2-2017)

smalllogo

Today sees the start of some warmer air temperatures although we first have to deal with patches of early morning mist which could present a small driving hazard in some parts.

This morning will, again, feel cold as the air temperature at 06:30 hours was only just above 1c and with the wind chill it was feeling more like -0.9c.  The good news is, however, that the cloud cover will be thin this morning and we will, gradually, see the wind shift towards the warmer SE.

This change will see our top temperature reach around 8c today and even with the wind chill it will still feel like 6c.  Overnight there will be very little variation in the air temperature as a thick cloud cover will protect our area from around mid afternoon.

Despite the increased cloud levels the risk of rain today will only be around 20%.

The wind will start the day off from the NE but will end the day deriving from the SE -ESE.  The average wind speed today will be around 6mph.

Summary for today : A misty start, some bright spells then becoming cloudy.
