St Patrick’s Day Parade Weather (WS7 weather report 12-3-2017)

It is another cloudy start to the day but even at 08:30 hours the air temperature is in double figures.  This is good news for those attending the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Birmingham.

The temperate theme will continue throughout the daylight hours and we will see a top temperature of around 13c.  Yesterday’s top temperature was 14.1c at 14:13 hours.  Tonight will see the cloud bed thin for a while and this will allow the top temperature to reduce to a low of around 5c.

The radar images are showing that we are sitting on the western edge of a rain system.  This means that the further east you travel the more likely you are to come across some light rain.  The risk in our area of seeing some rain is around 70% but any rain that we do encounter will be very light and short-lived.

The wind will be bringing with it warm air from the SW-WSW this morning before heading more towards the WNW this afternoon. The average wind speed today will be around 6mph.  This will add a wind chill of around 1-1.5c.

Summary for today : Generally overcast but with the odd brighter spell. A risk of some very light rain.
