High cloud (WS7 weather report 16-3-2017)

smalllogoAlthough the air temperature at 07:00 hours was mild at 7.1c the day seems less inviting with the thick layer of high level cloud dominating proceedings.

The cloud, which is due to the jet stream moving down the UK, will dominate throughout the day.  With the cloud also comes reducing air pressure which, in turn, increases the risk of rain.  The risk of some rain in our area today is around 40%.  The highest risk being during the early to mid evening period.

Our top temperature will reach around 12-13c and overnight the low will be  around 5c.

The wind will be generally light and deriving from a WSW-SW.  The average wind speed will be around 6-7mph.

The next few days sees the likelihood of rain increasing and it is unlikely that we will get through the weekend without seeing a few odd showers.
