Heading towards the bank holiday weather (WS7 weather report 13-4-2017)

Yesterday’s short but, at times moderately heavy, precipitation saw 0.8mm of rain fall in the Hammerwich area.

The good news is , if you are planning a trip out today, that the risk of any rain is only 11%.

It will be a generally mild day with increasing cloud cover during the afternoon.  The top temperature today will be around 11c and overnight the low will be around 6c.  This is similar to last night’s (this morning) low of 5.7c.

The wind will again be deriving from a WSW-WNW arc and the average wind speed will be around 5-6mph.  When the wind is more from the cool WNW the sky will tend to clear a little.

Looking forward to Good Friday and the Bank holiday weekend sees that it will be a predominantly dry time with just the odd risk of a rain shower.  Sadly we will not reach the dizzy 20c+ temperatures of last weekend but it will be a seasonable 11-14c.  This is good news for all those that want to venture out or simply work in the garden.

Summary for today : A dry day with variable amounts of cloud.

Observations made on 13/4/2017 at 06:27 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.
Temperature : 5.8c; Air pressure : 1017.4mb; Relative humidity  89%; Wind : 3 mph WSW; Rain this month : 0.mm; Rain this year : 148.6mm
