Mild morning (WS7 weather report 20-4-2017)

smalllogo

It is a very mild star to the day with the cloud bed helping maintain the overnight air temperature above 9c at 06:35 hours this morning (overnight low was 8.6c at 05:05 hours).

Sadly, we will not see too many bright spells today as our area will be predominantly covered with clouds.

The radar images do show that there are a few scattered rain clouds in our area this morning which, by the time of my observations had already deposited a small amount of rain in our area (around 0.2mm).  The risk of further rain reduces from 25% to around 10% after 08:00 hours.

Our top temperature today will be around 14c and overnight it will be another mild time with the minimum air temperature around 8c.

We are under a system of high air pressure today and this will develop clockwise winds around the points of similar pressure. For us this means a W-WNW breeze for much of the day.  The average wind speed be around 5mph.

Summary for today : A generally cloudy day but mild.

Observations made on 20/4/2017 at 06:24 hours Hammerwich, Staffordshire.
Temperature : 9c; Air pressure : 1034.6mb; Relative humidity  89%; Wind : Calm; Rain this month : 9mm; Rain this year : 156.2mm
