It will be hard to miss the widespread dense cloud cover this morning as it will make our commute to work a very gloomy affair.
The dense, medium to high cloud, will bring a 90% risk of rain to our area although the radar images do show that we are on the northern edge of the rain system and, therefore, likely to miss the heaviest precipitation. Rain is likely to be a high risk for most of our daylight hours. (Not continual rain but a high risk of localised showers).
It will be a cooler than recent day with the air temperature, first thing this morning, being the best we are likely to achieve (around 14c). As the day passes the wind derivation will move more towards the WNW-NW and this will bring a chill to the “feel” of the air. The air temperature around noon will be nearer 10c.
Overnight the minimum air temperature will be around 8c.
The wind will be predominantly deriving from the NW and the average wind speed will be around 5mph.
Summary for today: A continued high risk of rain showers. Becoming cooler than of late.
