The air pressure is reducing – good or bad news? (WS7 weather report 22-5-2017)

If you look at the barometer first thing this morning you will see that the air pressure value is slowly reducing but fear not because a further ridge of high pressure will be with us later in the day and the air pressure value will begin to climb again. This heightened air pressure will reduce the risk of rain.  Overall we are set for a fine and dry week.

Today will be a mild and, at times, warm day with a top temperature of 20-21c and an overnight low of around 10-11c.

It will be partly cloudy but despite the cloud and early morning reduction in air pressure the risk of any rain today is only around 10%.  The further north you travel in the UK the risk of rain increases.

The wind will be driving from the SE before moving clockwise towards the SW-WSW during the afternoon and evening (this is due to the movement of the air pressure systems).  The average wind speed today ill be around 5-6mph.

Summary for today: A partly cloudy day but with the air temperature reaching into the 20s.
