For the second consecutive day we can expect the air temperature to reach the mid 20s and we will also enjoy some long clear spells – hurrah!
There is, however, a need to say that this fine weather will not last as long as I first anticipated as the GFS models are now showing a low pressure system pushing into our area on Saturday. This system will see a little more cloud (and, therefore, an increased risk of some localised rain showers) during Saturday afternoon.
If we return to today then we have no such fears as the risk of rain today is less than 5%. Our top temperature will be around 25c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 14c. It is not that many days ago that 14c was our top daytime temperature!
Today’s breeze will be deriving from the N-NE this morning before moving clockwise towards the ESE-SE during the afternoon. The average wind speed will be around 5mph.
Summary for today: A warm and often bright day. Top temperature in the mid 20s.
