It is a bright start to the day but we should not expect the heady top twenty air temperatures have enjoyed over the last few days.
Our top temperature today will be around 20c and as the day passes into mid evening the high pressure system (that is “protecting” our area from a low pressure front) will move northwards allowing a band of rain to enter our region tomorrow. The risk of rain today is around 7% but if any rain does fall it could be heavy and localised. Rain is highly likely tomorrow,
Overnight the minimum air temperature will be similar to today at around 14c. (14.2c at 05:59 hours).
As the day passes so will the cloud bed increase. By the end of the day we will have a general dense blanket of cloud cover.
Today’s wind will be deriving from the WSW first thing this morning before moving clockwise to end the day from the NE. The average wind speed will be around 5mph.
Summary for today: A bright start becoming cloudier but generally dry.
