Good weather cavalry (WS7 weather report 30-6-2017)

smalllogoThe barometer is showing that the air pressure is rising slowly and the GFS synoptic chart is also showing that high air pressure will continue to increase over the next 24 hours.  The good weather cavalry is on its way!

Today will see a generally cloudy day with a 20% risk of some localised showers this morning.  This risk will  increase to around 55% during the afternoon and early evening as the low pressure system begins to clear the area.

It will be a mild day with a top temperature of around 19c and an overnight minimum temperature of around 12-13c.

The wind will be light this morning but will increase a little to around 7mph this afternoon.  The wind will be deriving from a WSW-WNW arc.

As the weekend arrives so will the high air surface pressure and so we can expect the next few days to be generally dry and mild.

Finally, I would like to wish my brother, Gary, a very happy retirement day.

Summary for today: A cloudy day with an increased risk of some rain during the afternoon.
