Cloudy morning (WS7 weather report 15-7-2017)

smalllogoIt is a very overcast start to the day and the country is divided with low air pressure to the north and high air pressure to the south.  As is often the case we sit in the middle of this weather pattern so we may get a little bit of both worlds.

The radar images (provided by www.meteogroup.com) show that there are a number of rain clouds moving through our area this morning (see image below).  These cloud systems may simply blow beyond our area but they also bring a 60% risk of some rain from around 08:45 hours.

It will be a mild day with our top temperature just reaching around 20c and the overnight low will be around 15-16c.

Today’s breeze will be brisk at times and will be deriving from the SW-WSW.  The average wind speed will be around 6-8mph.

Next week sees a return of high surface air in our area and we could see the air temperature climb back into the mid twenties centigrade.

Summary for today: A generally cloudy day with the odd brighter spell and a 60%risk of some showers this morning.
