V Festival and Test Match weather (WS7 weather report 19-8-2017)

smalllogoToday starts off bright and breezy and the good news is that the air pressure will slowly rise from around 1013.6mb to 1020mb by late tonight.

We are not completely out of the woods, rain wise, and there are some clouds that will pass over our area (and the V festival site) at around 10:15 hours this morning.  These clouds will bring a 40% risk of rain.  The risk will last for about one hour but it will not rain throughout that period (if at all).

The remainder of the day (beyond 11:30 hours) will see the risk of rain reduce to around 15%.  The medium height cloud cover will increase late afternoon but this is not likely to bring rain.

With the steady breeze our top temperature will only be around 17c and overnight the low will be around 10 -11c.  If you are sitting on any of the upper tiers at the cricket today you will need to wrap up warm when the sun lowers.

Today’s breeze will be deriving from the WSW-W and the average speed will be around 10mph.

Summary for today: Many bright spells but breezy.  A low risk of some rain mid morning.
