Canal Festival Weather (WS7 weather report 9-9-2017)

It was a bright start to the day when I made my observations at 08:30 hours but, ominously, the barometer reading was below 10oomb which suggests that unsettled weather could still be on its way.

This assumption was confirmed by the rain radar images which show that rain clouds will pass through our area from around 11:30 hours this morning.  Hopefully they will simply blow by but there is a 72% risk of some rain in our area from around 11:30 hours to mid afternoon (not continuous).  The late afternoon and early evening will then see some clear and dry spells.

Our top temperature today will be around 16c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 10c.

Today’s breeze will be deriving from the SW-WSW  this morning before heading clockwise towards the NW during afternoon .  This movement clockwise will coincide with the clear, dry weather.

If you are looking for something to do today (or tomorrow) it may be worth making a visit to theBlack Country Canal Festival at Windmill End, Netherton.  There is free parking and plenty to see, do and drink.

Summary for today: Some rain likely during the late morning and early afternoon.  Clearing later.
