Averaging 1.6mm of rain per day (WS7 weather report 10-9-2017)

smalllogoIt is a cloudy and dull start to the day and the outlook during the daylight hours does not bring any great news of improvement.

The synoptic charts are showing that the already low air pressure will continue to reduce slowly as the morning passes and by early afternoon the barometer will be reading around 996mb.

We will be shrouded in a general cloud cover during the daylight hours and these clouds will bring a 65% risk of some rain this afternoon.

As the air pressure continues to reduce you may find it a little breezier  than yesterday. The average wind speed today will be around 7-8mh and the wind will be deriving from the SW.

Today’s top temperature will be around 14c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 11c.

Yesterday saw our area break through the 400mm of rain mark for the year so far.   This makes the daily average rainfall to date 1.6mm.

Summary for today: A cloudy and, at times, breezy day with the risk of some rain particularly this afternoon.
