The first real sign of Autumn was on display yesterday when my daughter, Rosie, put on her warm boots for the first time since winter.  Along with dewy morning a sight of the warm boots are a harbinger of Autumn!

Today, however, will generally be a little more pleasant than of late and we will even see some bright spells as the surface air pressure rises a couple of points to 1016mb.

There is a very low risk (22%) of the odd spot of rain or drizzle this morning but it will be mostly partly cloudy start with some bright spells.  The cloud will increase a little this afternoon and with the cloud sees an increase of the risk of rain to around 45%.

Today’s top temperature will be around 15c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 8c.  Last night’s minimum air temperature was 7.3c at 02:00 hours.

The breeze today will be light and deriving from the NNW.  The average wind speed will be around 3-4mph.

Summary for today: Another day with some bright spells.  A lower risk of rain than yesterday.
