Condensing breath (WS7 weather report 18-9-2017)

As I stepped out this morning to make my observations the air was fresh and my breath was condensing as I exhaled. There was a lovely freshness to the start of the day.

After yesterday’s rain we will start the day dry and partly cloudy but we are not out of the woods yet as low and high pressure systems regularly interchange in our area.

This morning will see the air pressure steadily climbing before the situation reverses and a wide spread band of rain cloud moves through the midlands area.  There is a risk of rain (40%)from around late afternoon with the peak risk (75%) between 20:00 and 21:000 hours in our area.

Our top temperature will be around 15c and overnight the minimum temperature will be around 8c.  Last night minimum temperature was 9.9c at 05:51 hours.

Today’s breeze will again be light and deriving mainly from the NW.  The average wind speed will be 4-5mph.

Summary for today: A little cloudier than yesterday.  Rain moving into our area later.
